Bucharest's old city modernization continues on Calea Victoriei street where the City Hall decided to enlarge the sidewalks between Regina Elizabeta Blvd. and Splaiul Independentei, Natiunile Unite Square.

Calea Victoriei street is part of the first package of 35 streets to be maintained, according to a four-year framework agreement signed this year. The budget for the next four years to maintain the 35 streets, including Calea Victoriei, amounts to around EUR 67 million, without VAT.

The design company in charge of extending the sidewalks on Calea Victoriei is Procons XXI, owned by Florentina Corina Bonciog, while the company that performs the work is Tehnologica Radion, a company controlled by businessman Theodor Berna.
