Building materials producer Holcim Romania makes changes in management team
Swiss building materials producer Holcim has made some changes in its management team in Romania, adding three new members, the company announced.
Anca Alexandru, 46, is the company’s new Concrete & Aggregates Director of Holcim Romania as of September 1, 2013.
She replaces Bogdan Dobre, 45, who took over as Marketing and Sales Director of Holcim Romania
Anca Alexandru joined the company back in 2002 and since then has held various managerial positions in the RMX segment.
Another new member of Holcim Romania’s management team is Madalina Craciunescu, who was named Human Resources Director, replacing Nicoleta Salajan, who took over as HR Director of Holcim Group for the Africa / Middle East region. She joined Holcim in 2005.
Ioana Borangic, 30, is the company’s new Communication Manager. She is the successor of Andreea Nicolae, who is now the Marketing Manager of Holcim Romania. She joined Holcim in 2010 as Internal Communication Specialist.
In Romania, Holcim owns two cement plants in Campulung and Alesd, one grinding station and a cement terminal in Turda, 13 ecological ready-mix stations, three aggregates sites, two special binders stations and one cement terminal in Bucharest.
Holcim’s cement and clinker sales fell 0.7 percent in the first half of the year in Romania, compared to the first six months of 2012, while the domestic cement prices were up 3.1 percent. The company employs some 1,000 people in Romania.
