Over 3,370 residential building permits were issued in Romania in April this year, 5.1 percent more than in March, but 6.2 percent less than in April 2013, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INS). Building permits for the rural area were almost 60 percent of the total.

In the first four months of this year, 10,339 residential building permits were issued, 1.2 percent fewer compared to the same period last year.
