Bus with Israeli tourists crashes in Romania's Slanic salt mine
A minibus carrying Israeli tourists crashed on Sunday, April 1, as it was going down into the Slanic salt mine in Prahova county.
Some 22 people in the bus, eight of whom are children, were injured and taken to the hospital for investigations. The youngest patient is 2 while the oldest is 72. It’s not clear yet what has led to this accident.
The lift that used to take visitors down into the Slanic salt mine broke in 2014 and hasn’t been fixed since. The transport to the salt mine is currently done by a private minibus operator.
