The activity in Romania has helped Raiffeisen International decrease its provisions for South Eastern Europe since the beginning of the year, as a result of the sale of retail customer loans.
Local company BDR Associates Communication Group, affiliated with Hill & Knowlton expects to post a USD 1.8 million turnover this year, close to the average of the last five years.
Local company Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (symbol OLT) posted a turnover of EUR 32 million in October, up 14 percent on the average in the first ten months this year.
Romania could receive an extra EUR 306 million from Norway, as the SEE Grants and Norwegian Grants programs have been extended until 2014. The funds will contribute to Romania's economic and social cohesion development. Money will go to areas like climate change, renewable energy, green industry innovation and in promoting the concept of decent work.
Romania will invest in the technological and informational development of state-owned postal company Posta Romana in the next two years, said Romanian Communications Minister Valerian Vreme.
Romania wants to get EUR 1 billion for its 45.9 percent share package in telecom operator Romtelecom. “As a representative of the state, the Communication Ministry will take into account the market realities and will not sell the share package at any price. We will deal with the issue as any serious business,” said Communication Minister Valerian Vreme.
Publicis Groupe has bought three of its long-term affiliates in Romania, Publicis Romania, Focus Advertising and Publicis Events. The three entities will operate under the name Grupul Publicis Communications Services Bucharest, which will be an integrated communications agency
Spanish law firm Garrigues will close down its office in Bucharest, after having changed the business strategy for the Central and Eastern Europe. The law firm will work in the region through its office in Warsaw, according to the law firm.
