Carmaker Automobile Dacia to install solar panels on the platform in Mioveni, Romania
Carmaker Automobile Dacia, owned by French Renault, will install solar panels systems on the platform in Mioveni, Romania, for the company to achieve a lower consumption of conventional energy, according to Bernard Sonilhac, chief executive of Renault Services Roumanie. The first units will be installed in about two years.
Bernard Sonilhac said that details on this project will soon be established, and the project will be submitted to authorities for obtaining subsidies. He also added that the solar systems will be installed even if the project doesn't receive subsidies, because these types of projects will lead to significant cost reductions.
Renault Services Roumanie’s representative said that by the end of 2015, Automobile Dacia will invest around EUR 7 million in implementing environmental programs. Automobile Dacia sold last year, in Romania and abroad, 348,723 vehicles, with 12 percent more than in 2009.
