Carmaker Ford, so far the biggest foreign investor in Romania, posted revenues of around EUR 205 million in the country last year, but continued to have a loss, Romania-Insider.com has learned. Last year, Ford Romania SA posted a loss of EUR 65.5 million in Romania, similarly to the year before, when its revenues were however four times lower.

Ford, with 3,400 employees and a factory in Craiova, entered the Romanian market in 2007, when it bought the car factory in Craiova in a privatization process. Ford representatives say the company has invested EUR 350 million in Craiova since they took over.

Carmaker Ford will start the mass production for the B-MAX model in its factory in Romania in the first half of 2012, it has previously announced.
