French retailer Carrefour will open a new supermarket in the Romanian mountain resort Predeal in mid-December. The unit will cover an area of 2,000 sqm and will be inaugurated on December 14, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Carrefour runs 27 supermarkets in Romania, 46 neighborhood stores Express, 7 neighborhood stores Contact, 2 Supeco and an online store. Last year, the company’s sales on the Romanian market went slightly up to EUR 1 billion.
