Catalyst Romania pours EUR 2 mln into gym, well-being aggregator app
Catalyst Romania Fund II, one of the most important venture capital funds in South-Eastern Europe, invested EUR 2 million in the ESX application – a fitness, sports and well-being aggregation platform which offers a subscription with unlimited access to approximately 500 sports centres and fitness rooms in Romania.
The transaction was assisted by Andronic & Partners and Schoenherr & Associates SCA.
"This infusion of capital will allow us to take ESX to the next level in its development, both on the Romanian and international markets. We are glad to have attracted with us a strong partner, with proven experience in technology and scaling SaaS models, to support our transformation and who shares our vision", says Andrei Trofin, CEO and founder of ESX.
In the last eighteen months, the company has grown approximately tenfold, reaching a monthly turnover of almost one million euros, relying on a digital all-in-app solution to aggregate an increasing number of sports and fitness centres across the country.
