Central Bank governor: Romania’s GDP per capita could reach 80% of the EU average
Romania’s GDP per capita could reach 80% of the European average in the next 25 years if the country has a steady annual growth 1% higher than the EU average economic growth, said Mugur Isarescu, Romania’s National Bank – BNR Governor.
The country could thus accomplish a gradual but sustainable growth.
The economic growth shouldn’t be stimulated over potential, in order to avoid future corrections, he added, reports local Profit.ro.
Isarescu said that he didn’t see any political factor that would take responsibility for a future correction.
