French legend Charles Aznavour will have his first concert in Romania next year
Legendary Armenian-French singer Charles Aznavour will perform for the first time in Romania next year. The concert is scheduled to take place at Romexpo in Bucharest, on February 20, 2016. Aznavour will be almost 90 at that date.
Charles Aznavour, born on May 22, 1924, is known for his unique tenor voice. He is one of France's most popular and enduring singers, being nicknamed France’s Frank Sinatra. Aznavour has written more than 1,200 songs, sung in eight languages, and sold more than 180 million records.
During his music career, he collaborated with artists such as Edith Piaf, Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra, Andrea Bocelli, Bing Crosby, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Liza Minelli, Elton John, Tom Jones, Jose Carreras, Laura Pausini, and Julio Iglesias. Read more about him on his official web page here.
The concert in Bucharest is part of the artist’s final tour. Tickets cost between RON 260 and RON 575 and can be purchased online from bilete.ro, eventim.ro, iabilet.ro, and myticket.ro.
