Chinese HiSun PV Technology shows interest in thermal power plant in Romania

Chinese company HiSun PV Technology, a subsidiary of China Evergreen Industry Group, has expressed interest in building a thermal power plant in Halanga, Mehedinti county, Romania, in partnership with the local Autonomous Authority for Nuclear Activities (RAAN).

“The Chinese company announced that is interested to participate in this project as an investor and operator, with the advantage of obtaining green certificates from the solar power plants,” reads a statement of the Romanian Ministry of Economy.

A delegation of the Chinese company, accompanied by Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy Virgil Daniel Popescu, will go to Turnu Severin in Mehedinti between January 22 and January 23, for talks with the local authorities and RAAN’s management.

HiSuna PV Technology specializes in the development of energy projects. Last year, the company acquired six projects for solar power plants, which are already build and will become functional this year.
