Huawei Romania, subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, one of the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturers worldwide, plans to open a global support center on the Romanian market. The company will thus reach 1,500 employees in Romania by the end of 2014, of which 80 percent will be Romanians.

Huawei's global support center to be open in Romania is the fourth center of the company, the other three being in China, India and Mexico.

Founded in 1987, Huawei Technologies is one of the largest providers of IT&C solutions worldwide, with revenues exceeding USD 28 billion in 2010. The company is present in over 140 countries.

Huawei entered the Romanian market in 2004. Huawei Romania posted a turnover of EUR 69.2 million last year, with 140 percent more than the previous year.
