Chinese see Romania as EU’s Silicon Valley
Romania is perceived as the European Union’s Silicon Valley and Romanian companies can find trustful partners in Chinese market, said Chu Lianyn, advisor in the Council for Promoting International Trade from the Chinese Quingdao province, local Agerpres reported.
Quingdao is very industrialized and able to cooperate with Romanian companies in food processing and IT, she said.
The foreign official attended a meeting with Romanian businessmen organized by USH Pro Business Centre.
At the same time, USH President Costin Lianu said that Romanian companies were more and more interested in Chinese cooperation, even if there was little knowledge about the market so far. Among the most important fields of interest in cooperation with Chinese firms are green energy, transport and technology, Lianu added.
