Chinese Unisun completes three solar parks in Romania

Chinese company Unisun has built three solar parks in Brasov and Cluj counties, Romania, with a total installed capacity of 19.59 MW.

The Dej, Setra and Clue plants have installed capacities of 5.98 MW, 6.4 MW and 7.14 MW respectively, according to the company.

The three solar parks are already connected to the power grid and are expected to generate up to EUR 8 million in electricity and subsidy revenues annually.

The plant in Dej, Cluj county, Romania is expected to generate 7 million kWh of electricity annually, meeting the daily power needs of 4,000 local households, while the Setra and Clue plants in Brasov county, with a combined capacity of 13.54 MW, are expected to generate 15 million kWh of electricity annually.

Unisun is part of Wuxi Guolian Development Group, specialized in the development of solar parks. The group has developed and financed photovoltaic projects in several countries, with a total capacity of 500 MW.

The existing photovoltaic power plants in Romania have a total capacity of over 700 MW.
