City Grill restaurant chain adds fourth location in Bucharest's Old Town
Romanian restaurant chain City Grill has opened a new restaurant in Bucharest's Old Town, its fourth unit in the area.
The new City Grill restaurant is located at the crossroads between the streets Sepcari and Covaci and joins the chain's other operations in the entertainment district including another City Grill, Trattoria Buongiorno and Caru' cu Bere.
With a large grill as a center piece, the new restaurant's concept evokes a fresh food market.
City Grill's other restaurant in the area, on the Lipscani street, which was recently renovated, is more of a brasserie.
The new restaurant took over the building which previously housed furniture shop European Heritage.
Mid-this year, City Grill has around EUR 1.5 million for opening new restaurants and for revamping existing ones.
The chain, which includes four City Grill restaurants, the famous Caru' cu Bere, two Hanul Berarilor units, five Trattoria Buongiorno units and four City Cafes, is owned by Romanian investor Dragos Petrescu.
His company Trotter Prim has a turnover of EUR 6.5 million in 2012, while his other company, Trotter Management, had a EUR 8 million turnover during the same year.
