Gabriela Lungu, who recently withdrew from her position as managing partner and creative director of Romanian PR consultancy The Practice, has joined Weber Shandwick as executive vice president and EMEA consumer practice leader, based in the firm’s London office. Lungu, who founded The Practice in 2006, will report to Colin Byrne, CEO of Weber Shandwick EMEA, and Lisa Sepulveda, global consumer practice leader.

Oana Bulexa and Monica Jitariuc—currently heads of the PR and social media departments - will fill in her position at The Practice. Stefan Iordache, co-founding partner of The Practice and CEO of Leo Burnett Group Romania, has acquired Lungu’s shares in the company.

Before founding The Practice, Lungu, now 36, served as managing director of Ogilvy Public Relations Romania, when she was just 26. After four years, she moved to entrepreneurship, founding The Practice. She has 15 years of experience in PR.
