The Cocor shopping center downtown Bucharest, near Unirii Square, will open a multiplex cinema on some 3,000 sqm at its 5th floor. The shopping center, which was renovated and has been trying to position itself as a luxury area, will open the new cinema in fall, according to its owners. The cinema will have five halls with digital screenings, run by an international operator, whose name has not yet been revealed.

The leisure area will also include a food court and a playground for kids.

Located close to the historical center of Bucharest, Cocor reopened to the public in October 2010, after upgrading work costing some EUR 24.5 million. Currently Cocor has 10,000 sqm of rentable area and 200 parking places. Cocor Mediachannel has an area of ​​3,300 square meters of LED screens and lights.
