23 August 2011

Companies in Romania will most likely increase salaries by 4 to 7 percent this year, depending on the job and the industry, according to a study conducted by Consulteam  company, quoted by Mediafax newswire.

“Differences between the salaries of Bucharest and the ones in the rest of the country declined to approximately 15 percent for the executive positions, but it's nearly 40 percent for the management positions. In Romania, the bonus prospect remained as attractive in 2011 as last year, but the actual amounts received by employees as performance bonuses were lower”, according to the study.

The study also notes that the share of companies that will keep wages in the last year  has been decreasing to under 15 percent, from about 30 percent of the total.
