The construction work volume increased by over 11% in the first seven months of the year compared to the same period in 2014.

Revamping work went up by almost 16%, whereas the maintenance and current repairs increased by 11%. New construction work volume increased by over 10%. The nonresidential building work rose by 15.5%, the civil engineering work by almost 11% and the residential building work went up by 5%.

In July, the construction work volume dropped by 1.4% as gross series compared to the previous month. The decrease was due to the reduction in the maintenance and current repair work. However, compared to the same month of 2014, the construction work volume increased by 15.4%, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS).
