Consumer prices rise 0.1% in Romania
Consumer prices in Romania increased in April by 0.1% compared to March.
The annual inflation rate reached 0.65%, slightly down over the previous month, whereas food prices rose by 0.33% and service prices, by 0.07%.
In April, non-food products had similar prices to those in March.
Fresh fruit prices increased by 5.25% while prices of fruits and canned fruits rose by 3.27%. The price of vegetables and canned vegetables went up by 2.08%. Egg prices dropped by 6.85%, followed by the price of beans and other legumes, which decreased by 2.6%.
In the category of non-food goods, cigarette prices posted the highest increase, of 0.83%.
