Continental opens EUR 1.8 mln water treatment unit in Romania
ContiTech Carei, part of the Continental group, opened a water treatment unit meant to serve its operations following a EUR 1.8 million investment.
ContiTech is a supplier of plastic and rubber components for the auto industry. In Romania, it has three fluid technology plants in Timişoara, Carei and Nădab, and one power transmission plant in Timişoara.
“This investment was needed because, by treating the used water and bringing it to quality parameters, the pollution will be eliminated and the environment will be preserved. […] The main beneficiaries are both the employees of ContiTech Carei but also the inhabitants of the area,” said Andreas Witkowski, general manager of ContiTech Carei.
