Mayor says 500 new parking spaces are now available in eastern Bucharest
A new parking lot with 500 spaces opened in eastern Bucharest on Wednesday, May 25, mayor Nicusor Dan announced. According to him, the project is part of the Cora Pantelimon Park & Ride terminal, and the access is currently free of charge.
"The parking lot at Cora Pantelimon opened this morning! Drivers entering Bucharest through the eastern part of the city can park their cars here and continue their journey by public transport. Enter and exit via Pantelimon Road," Dan said on Facebook.
The new parking has 500 spaces and operates 24 hours a day. According to the mayor, the access is free "until the General Council decides on the rates and the car park administrator."
Mayor Nicusor Dan announced last week that the Park & Ride Cora Pantelimon project in the capital city has finally been completed "after almost seven years of blockages and delays." In addition to the new parking lot, the project also includes a terminal for public transport (buses, trams), minibus stations, and a corridor that will make the connection with the future subway station.
