Creativity and inspiration, main features of executives during crisis, study finds

Building a common vision, the development of key people within the organization and adjustment of organizational structure are among the main transforming measured took by organizations in the current economic climate, found a recent study by CEO Clubs and Focus Bari on the transformation and motivation level of organizations in the Balkans region.

The same research shows that half of respondents believe that the main quality of a leader today is to be creative and inspirational, rather than taking risks, a quality needed more in the past. Other assets considered important for a successful top executive include the ability to assume and implement important decisions and integrity, found the survey.

In terms of motivating employees during periods of change, over 70 percent of business leaders focus on maintaining energy and involvement in the organization.

More than 100 top executives in the Balkans regions, who manage companies that posted over EUR 10 million annually each responded to this survey.

The results of this study will be debated in Bucharest on December 7 during the official launch of CEO Clubs in Romania. The event, which will take place at the Hilton Hotel, will have two key-speakers: Joseph Mancuso, one of the best-selling author in the field of international management and Srini Pillay, which in the past 10 years worked in coaching top executives from around the world.
