Credit Suisse: Romania ranks 10th among top 50 riskiest investment countries in the world

Romania ranked 10th in Credit Suisse’s 50 riskiest countries for investment in the world, with an overall score of 39.1, according to international news sources. The ranking is led by Greece, followed by Portugal, Iceland, Ireland, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Egypt and Romania. After Romania are Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania. Safest bets are Hong Kong, Norway, and Singapore.

The ranking results were based on estimated current account balance, government budget balance, government debt, private sector credit, and net external assets for 2011, as well as potential GDP growth for 2014-2016.
