Cruise ships bring 65,000 tourists to Romania's Constanta port
Over 65,000 foreign tourists arrived on cruise ships in the Romanian port of Constanta this year. The number is expected to increase to 70,000 by the end of the season, on November 15, according to George Visan, commercial director of the Constanta Maritime Ports Administration, cited by local Wall-street.ro.
According to him, from 2008, the number of foreign tourists arriving in Romania on cruise ships constantly went up by 20% each year. For next year, Visan estimates a similar number of tourists, or even a slight year-on-year increase.
