Cultural Institute organizes Romanian language, culture and civilization courses this July
The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) will organize the 18th edition of its Romanian Language, Culture and Civilization Courses in Brasov, Romania, between July 3 and July 28, 2012. The program is organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Letters of Transilvania University - Brasov, Muresenilor Memorial House and Reduta Cultural Centre.
The program will include an intensive Romanian language course of 60 hours, lectures in Romanian culture and civilization - twice per week, creative workshops - such as 19th century ball dancing, journalism and publicity, gastronomy and film screenings. Also, fieldtrips will be organized during weekends in the Old City of Brasov, Sibiu, the fortified Saxon fortresses around Brasov and Sibiu (Prejmer, Viscri), the Peles Complex in Sinaia, the George Enescu Memorial House in Sinaia, and a traditional village.
An international evening will be held during the program for the participants, who are asked to present the specific customs, foods and drinks.
The accommodation will be in three-star locations in Brasov, and the participation fee is EUR 1,100 per place in a double room, or EUR 1,300 per place in a single room. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2012. Find more about the program here.
