Current account deficit at EUR 781 mln in Romania
Romania’s current account deficit stood at EUR 781 million in the first seven months of this year, compared to a surplus of EUR 92 million the same period of 2013. The deficit was of EUR 878 million in the first half of the year.
The country’s long-term debt was down 1.4% compared to the end of 2013, to EUR 77.6 billion, 81% of which was external debt. The short – term debt was of EUR 17.8, 4.8% smaller year-on-year. Around 19% of it was external debt.
