Ascendis Group, the local market leader in training and professional development consultancy, ended 2014 with turnover of EUR 4.7 million, up 30% year-on-year.

Higher demand for customized training programs and increased market share triggered the growth, the company said in a statement. It was the best year for the company, as employers re-started investments in key employees, given the favourable economic context, said Andrei Gosu, the company's general manager.

Ascendis delivered 2,600 days of training, assessment centers and teambuilding last year, to over 24,000 participants.

Set upin 1997, Ascendisthe largest training and professional development consultancy company in Romania. It works with a team of 40 consultants and facilitators and has a portfolio of over 140 constant clients.

Other companies active on the training market in Romania are Hart Consulting, Trend Consult, Dale Carnegie Training Romania, Accelera, among others.
