Dacia Sandero, named the best cheap car in the UK
The Dacia Sandero car model, produced by the Romanian manufacturer Dacia, earned for the fifth year in a row the title for the best small car with a price below GBP 12,000, awarded by the British publication What Car?.
The car’s advantages include a good price, spacious interior, and higher comfort, according to a statement of Dacia’s parent company, French group Renault.
Dacia Sandero was first awarded this title in 2013, when the car entered the British market. It kept the same title in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
“You won’t find another new car that offers such a generous interior at this price,” said Steve Huntingford, editor for What Car?.
Sandero and Logan benefited from the first facelift in the last four years, in 2016. They received a new design at the front, LED headlights, and a modified interior. The restyled models Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero, and Sandero Stepway were presented at the Paris Motor Show in September 2016.
Dacia Sandero sells in the UK at prices starting GBP 5,995 whereas in Romania the prices start from EUR 7,090, VAT included. Some 26,500 Dacia cars were sold in the British market last year.
