Delta Music Fest up and running at Delta Dunarii, Romania, last night tomorrow July 21
The fourth edition of Delta Music Fest got going yesterday and will be running until tomorrow, ( July 21 ) in Delta Dunarii, at Sfantu Gheorghe. Kraak & Smaak (dj set), Khidja, Subcarpati and Gojira are just a few names that are performing, but there's plenty else going on, including a DJ Music School.
Bean - real name Marius Alexe - is known for various collaborations with artists in the Romanian underground hip-hop scene, such as Gnom, Dragonu’ aka 47, Chimie, Kazi Ploae. In 2009 he became the vocalist with Suie Paparude, replacing Junkyard (now part of ROA). In 2010, Bean started a project called “Subcarpati”, which combines sub bass with folk and Romanian hip-hop and in 2011 they launched their first album called “Culese din cartier”.
Gojira has been on the music scene since 2005, playing venues across Romania and beyond. He has played alongside artists such as Tricky, Adam Freeland and Annie Nightingale.
Kraak & Smaak hit the big time last year with the release of their third studio album. The setup single from the record – Dynamite – has already become the most added electronic record on American college radio. The band debuted their new live show at the Eurosonic Festival to a rapturous response ahead of a summer of touring with their brand of out and out hands in the air music.
Entry to the festival is free and more details about the event, transport and accommodation can be found on the official page http://www.deltamusicfest.ro/
