Den Braven grows first quarter PU foams and hotmelt sales in Romania by 25%
Polyurethane foams and hotmelt producer Den Braven Romania recorded total sales of EUR 8.1 million in the first three months of this year, up 25 percent compared to EUR 6.5 million in the first quarter of 2010, according to the company. This was mainly triggered by higher exports, as well as by the increase in its market share in Romania.
The company's sales on the local market between January to March this year rose by 3 percent, to EUR 3 million, the bulk of them being made in the large network of stores which specialize in the distribution of building materials.
In the first three months of this year, Den Braven Romania's exports reached EUR 4.8 million, 46 percent higher than in same period of 2010. Den Braven Romania recorded total sales of EUR 39.5 million in 2010, up 28 percent compared to EUR 30.8 million recorded in 2009. For this year, the company has set a 10 percent turnover increase target.
Den Braven Group, founded in 1974 in the Netherlands, has 11 production sites worldwide, over 25 branches and carries out activities in over 100 countries around the world. The group opened its branch in Romania in October 1997.
