Diamond Jubilee celebrated in Bucharest with Prince Charles of Wales, sports cars and Beatles brass band
The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee was celebrated in Romania on June 11 by the British Embassy to Bucharest and was attended by Prince Charles of Wales, the heir to the British throne, who was on a private visit to Romania.
The Jubilee was celebrated with a sports cars parade, with Lotus, Jaguar and Mini cars parading downtown Bucharest. British Ambassador Martin Harris drove one of the cars. A british bus joined the cars on the route downtown the Romanian capital, while a brass band performed songs from the Beatles.
Prince Charles of Wales met Romanian president Traian Basescu earlier today and Prime Minister Victor Ponta in two separate meetings, as well as other state officials during the Jubilee celebrations in Bucharest.
