Domo closes all its stores in Romania, keeps online operations
Electro-IT retailer Domo will close all its physical stores in Romania and will only keep its online operations, according to market sources cited by Ziarul Financiar. Competitors have already taken over a part of the stores.
The company’s electronics suppliers said that they hadn’t been paid, and stopped delivering products to Domo, which has had financial problems for several years now.
Domo had 75 physical stores and one online store this autumn, according to latest data.
The retailer has moved assets from one company to another, according to one supplier. The former company which operated Domo had financial problems and couldn’t pay its suppliers. The new firm which took over Domo paid the suppliers for a while, but then stopped.
The retailer had a turnover of over RON 600 million (EUR 135 million) last year.
