DPD Romania parcel distribution company reports 25% growth in business in nine months

Dynamic Parcel Distribution Romania (DPD), a subsidiary of the French La Poste, posted a 25 percent growth in its business in the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period in 2010, up to EUR 6.1 million (RON 26.2 million). The company’s profit also went up by 8 percent.

For this year, the company aims to increase business by 25 percent, while for 2012 DPD Romania expects a growth of about 14 percent. Last year, DPD Romania’s business amounted to a level of EUR 7 million (RON 30 million).

DPD Romania, whose majority shareholder is GeoPost, a subsidiary of La Poste, is a competitor of companies such as Fan Courier, TNT, Cargus and UPS.
