Dynamic Parcel Distribution Romania (DPD), a subsidiary of the French La Poste, recorded a turnover of EUR 4.17 million in the first half of 2011, up 25 percent on the same period last year. The company's profit also rose by 17 percent in the analyzed period. For the end of this year, the company also expects a growth in turnover of 25 percent.

“The increased turnover and profit were due to the same engine of growth as in the first quarter, innovative services that adapts perfectly to the needs of our clients and the latest technologies that make our work easier and more efficient”, said Lucian Aldescu, CEO al DPD Romania.

DPD Romania, whose majority shareholder is GeoPost, a subsidiary of La Poste, is among the top five courier companies in Romania, with over 500 employees, 74 warehouses, and 12,000 packages delivered daily. DPD Romania has a 100 percent national coverage, and makes deliveries in over 220 countries worldwide.
