DPD Romania ups profit by a quarter
Parcel delivery company DPD Romania increased its turnover last year by 14% to EUR 16.9 million, while its profit went up by 27%, to EUR 832,000.
The company estimates a EUR 22.4 million turnover this year, up 30% year-on-year.
It wants to invest some EUR 15 million, reports local Economica.net. The company also wants to become a leader in the Balkan courier market by 2020.
Last spring, Bulgarian courier company Speedy shook hands with GeoPost, subsidiary of the French group La Poste, to take over DPD Romania and GeoPost Bulgaria OOD.
In November last year, Speedy raised EUR 10.5 million from the stock market.
It plans to invest EUR 16 million in taking over GeoPost Bulgaria and DPD Romania.
