A Dutch tourist was found dead in a hotel room in Romania’s Brasov mountain resort on Monday, February 15.

According to the Brasov Prosecutors’ Office, the tourist has committed suicide, reports local Mediafax. The investigators say that the man, who had medical knowledge, has cut his femoral artery.

A maid found the man dead in the hotel room and announced her superiors. The woman went to clean the room, as she thought the man has left. The tourist had initially booked the room between February 10 and February 13 but has then extended his stay for two more days. He was supposed to leave on Monday at noon.
