Romanian energy distributor will award EUR 24 mln contracts for network investments

Electricity distributor E-Distributie Banat, which covers the South-Western Romania region, will award, by public tender, a multi-services contract for works on the medium voltage and low voltage lines of the electricity distribution grids, and back-office operations, in the counties Arad, Timis, Caras Severin and Hunedoara, with a total value of up to RON 110 million (EUR 23.7 million).

The participation announcement for the 3-year contract has been published on the platform of the electronic system for public procurement and the participants are invited to file their offers by October 4, 2018. The contract is divided into 4 parts, for each of the four counties.

The works are part of the investment program carried out by Italian group Enel's distribution companies in Romania, aimed at securing a proper service for end users and improving the quality and security of the network, while also complying with the company’s environmental standards.

Italian group Enel operates the electricity distribution networks in the Southern Muntenia, Dobrogea and Banat regions.
