E.ON reaches EUR 300 mln investments in Romania in four years
Power and gas company E.ON invested around EUR 300 million in Romania between 2005 and 2009 in revamping natural gas and electricity distribution networks in the country, the company has announced.
The company revamped 3,000 kilometers of gas pipes across Romania, as well as replaced 1,800 kilometers of electrical network. The distribution network was also expanded with 500 additional kilometers. E.ON also modernized 102 power stations. The German company invested around EUR 68 million last year.
E.ON supplies electricity for six counties in the region of Moldova in Romania. The company also supplies gas to the northern part of the country, after taking over Distrigaz Nord from the Romanian state.
