Golden Carpathian Ploiesti European Film and Fair will be held in Ploiesti, at Central Hotel, between August 25 to August 28, 2011. The event is exclusively dedicated to Eastern European productions.

Seven East European movies will be screened during Ploiesti European Film and Fair competition, while other four Romanian movies, “Hello, how are you?” (Buna, ce faci?), “The Bear” (Ursul), “Wedding in Basarabia” (Nunta in Basarabia), and “The take-off" (Decolarea), will be screened in the central park in Ploiesti.

Through this event, the National Film Center wants to facilitate the promotion of Romanian movies and their distribution abroad. Debates and meetings will be organized, and the invited producers and distributors will be able to present their films.
