EBRD changes Romania's growth estimation to zero this year, 3% next year
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has reduced its prognosis on Romania's economic increase this year from 1.3 percent to zero. The EBRD expects the new measures aiming at reducing the budget deficit will also decrease the internal demand. Next year however Romania will post a 3 percent economic increase, according to EBRD's estimations.
A similar drop in economic growth estimations came from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who's estimation now stands at zero growth or even a 0.5 percent drop in the country's economy.
