Economy Ministry plans to re-try privatizations of Avioane Craiova, IOR, Mangalia Shipyard, Cuprumin, Moldomin
Romanian state-owned companies Avioane Craiova, IOR, Mangalia Shipyard, Cuprumin and Moldomin will be privatized, according to the Economy Minister Adriean Videanu. This is not the first attempt to privatize these companies, which were already on the list of state participations which should be sold on the stock market.
The Economy Ministry will supply further details on these planned privatizations next week.
Avioane Craiova, headquartered in Dolj county, produces and repairs aircrafts, as well as aircraft parts and other industrial components. It was set up in 1972 to supply military aircraft for the Romanian Air Forces (in picture, one of the aircrafts).
IOR is an optical glass processor which was set up in 1936. The company produces sportive optics, military equipment, medical apparatus and lenses for eyeglasses. Mangalia Shipyard was founded in 1965 and produces and repairs civilian and military ships. Cuprumin and Moldomin are active on the mining and quarrying segment.
