Ekol Logistics pays EUR 4.5 million to expand truck fleet in Romania

Turkish logistics company Ekol Logistics bought 50 Volvo trucks with a budget of EUR 4.5 million and will soon begin hiring 70 staff in Romania. The new trucks are part of the general integration strategy for the connection with the Arad-Worms-Trieste railway route.

“The EUR 4.5 million is part of the investment process announced last year for Romania, totaling EUR 10 million,” said Tayfun Öktem, CEO Ekol Logistics,who recently took over at the helm of the company.

Ekol Logistics runs a fleet of 2,000 cars and has 4,000 employees. It is active in Turkey, Germany, Italy and Romania.
