Electricite de France – EDF will build a wind park near the town of Galati in Romania, with an investment of EUR 267 million, according to Money.ro. The 150 MW project, which will be built in the Pechea village near the town of Galati, will be finalized mid-2013. The project, 90 percent owned by EDF, has been started in partnership with Greek company Renewable Energy Technology & Development Energy and Technical Societes Anonyme.

EDF posted EUR 65.2 billion in sales in 2010, and had 37 million customers worldwide. The group employs 159,000 people in the world.
