Electronic music festival brings over 40 artists to Romania’s Banffy Castle in Transylvania

Electric Castle Festival, the first event in Romania to take electronic music and live sounds in a castle, will take place between June 21 and June 23, 2013, at Banffy Castle located in Bondita village, outside Cluj-Napoca. During the three-day event, some 40 local and international artists will perform on four stages installed for the festival at Banffy Castle, known in the past as the Transylvanian Versailles.

The line-up of the festival includes international artists such as Morcheeba (in picture), Pendulum DJ set feat. MC Verse, Telepopmusik - live, Dub Pistols - live, Stanton Warriors, A-Skillz vs. Krafty Kuts, Notes & Ties Orchestra, as well as local artists Suie Paparude, Robin and The Backstabbers, ROA and Silent Strike & Band. The 3-day subscriptions for Electric Castle Festival cost RON 100 until May 17, RON 135 between May 17 and June 20 and RON 170 at the entrance. Camping is also available in the castle grounds and costs RON 10 for all 3 days of the festival. Buy tickets online here.
