South Korean electronics manufacturer LG sold a total of 50 Ultra HD 4K TVs in Romania, with prices ranging between EUR 5,000 and EUR 20,000.

“So far, we have sold about 50 TVs in the LG 4K segment in Romania, from 55 inches to 84 inches,” said Bogdan Fratita, product specialist at LG Romania, quoted by local daily Zf.ro.

LG’s UHD 4K model with the 55-inch screen has a price of EUR 5,000, while the one with the 84-inch screen is sold for EUR 20,000.

4K UHD is a resolution of 3840 pixels × 2160 lines and is one of the two resolutions of ultra-high definition television targeted towards consumer television. 4K UHD has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of the 1080p HDTV format, with four times as many pixels overall.
