Enel plans new wind farms in Romania, no interest in buying minority packages from Fondul Proprietatea
Enel Green Power, the renewable energy arm of energy company Enel, plans to add some other 180 MW to its Romanian wind power network, taking its total installed capacity to some 450 MW, according to Francesco Starace, the company’s General Manager. The value of the investment was not announced.
Enel Green Power invested EUR 330 million last year in wind farms in Romania, from EUR 75 million in 2010. Its total installed capacity in the country will rise to 292 MW, after the completion of the wind farm in Moldova Noua.
