English band Placebo back in Romania for summer concert
English band Placebo will be back in Romania this year, for a gig scheduled for August 6, at Complexul Sportiv Iolanda Balas Soter (26, Marasti Blvd.) in Bucharest. The band previously performed in Romania in 2009 at Romexpo, and in 2006 at Arenele Romane.
Placebo are an alternative rock band based in London. The band was formed in 1994 by singer-guitarist Brian Molko and bass guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Placebo have released six studio albums, all of which have reached the top 20 in the UK. Their first album, ‘Placebo’, was released in 1996, and was followed by ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, released two years later, in 1998. Placebo's sixth studio album, ‘Battle for the Sun’, was released on June 8, 2009. Read more about the band on their official website here.
Tickets for the Placebo gig in Romania cost RON 95, RON 125 and RON 145 if purchased in advance from here, or RON 125, RON 160, and RON 190, on the door.
