English band Pulp to play first gig in Romania at B’estfest this summer
English alternative rock band Pulp will come to Romania for the first time this summer. They are on the roster at this year’s B’estfest edition. The music festival will be between July 6 and July 8, 2012, in Tunari, 10 minutes north of Bucharest, and the lineup includes other bands, such as Garbage, Caro Emerald, Selah Sue, The Qemists, Mala Vita, Meshuggah, Moonspell and Obituary.
Pulp are an English alternative rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. However, it wasn't until the mid-1990s that the group achieved UK success, with the release of the albums ‘His 'n' Hers’ in 1994 and particularly ‘Different Class’ in 1995. Pulp became major figures in the Britpop, and were one of the pioneers of the movement, along with other names such as Blur and Oasis. So far, Pulp have released seven studio albums, 10 compilations, 25 singles and 20 videos.
